Acceptance

By creating a Jayce account, starting a demo, or otherwise using the service after being presented these terms, you agree to this Terms & Conditions agreement and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use Jayce.

Copyright notice

The copyright holder is JAYCE. The JAYCE website, web app, native shells, source code, user interface, documentation, videos, marketing copy, icons, logos, wordmarks, and other materials (collectively, the “JAYCE Materials”) are protected by United States and international copyright laws.

Except for rights expressly granted below, no license is granted to copy, modify, distribute, publicly display, reverse engineer, scrape, or create derivative works from the JAYCE Materials.

Trademarks

“JAYCE,” the JAYCE logo, and the JAYCE wordmark are trademarks used to identify the JAYCE product and brand. You may not use these marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation without prior written permission, or in a way that is likely to confuse customers about the source of goods or services.

License to use JAYCE

Subject to these terms and any paid plan or demo entitlements associated with your account, JAYCE grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the JAYCE app and website for your internal business purposes — primarily designing, estimating, and documenting metal buildings.

You agree NOT to:

Use Jayce for any purpose other than designing, estimating, and documenting metal buildings for your own internal business work (or as allowed by your paid plan).
Resell, sublicense, rent, white-label, or provide Jayce as a service to third parties without written permission.
Share account credentials beyond the seats and devices allowed by your plan.
Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or recreate Jayce features, workflows, drawings engines, or user interface for a competing product.
Attempt to bypass paywalls, device limits, demo timers, subscription checks, or other access controls.
Use automated scraping, bulk downloading, or similar tools against Jayce APIs or pages except as needed for ordinary browser or app use.
Remove or obscure copyright, trademark, or disclaimer notices in Jayce outputs.
Upload malware, abuse support channels, or interfere with the service for other users.

Proprietary software — no theft or misuse

Jayce is proprietary software owned by JAYCE. Your subscription or demo grants a limited license to use the product — not to own, copy, or redistribute it. You may not steal source code, assets, catalogs, drawing templates, or other JAYCE Materials, and you may not use Jayce in a way that is materially different from how it is offered (for example, as an unlicensed public design service, data-harvesting tool, or competing clone).

Your project data

You retain ownership of the building models, job information, notes, and other content you enter into JAYCE (“Your Content”). You grant JAYCE a limited license to host, process, back up, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate the service for you (for example, saving projects and generating bill of materials, estimate, trim, and drawing outputs).

Outputs JAYCE generates from Your Content (bill of materials summaries, estimates, trim sheets, shop drawings, and similar) are provided for your use subject to the disclaimer below. JAYCE does not claim ownership of Your Content.

Reference only — not engineered / not sealed

JAYCE is not a licensed engineer. Models, bills of materials, estimates, trim sheets, shop drawings, and all other outputs are for estimating and reference only. They are not engineered, stamped, or approved for construction, permitting, or fabrication. JAYCE assumes no liability for design, engineering, fabrication, erection, code compliance, or construction. You are solely responsible for having a licensed professional engineer (or other qualified professional required in your jurisdiction) review, verify, and stamp all work before use.

Third-party materials

JAYCE may include open-source libraries and third-party services (hosting, payments, fonts, and similar). Those components remain subject to their own licenses and terms. Product names of panel or trim manufacturers mentioned in the app are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

Accounts, plans, and termination

Access may require an account and an active plan, trial, or demo. JAYCE may suspend or end access for abuse, non-payment, or material breach of these terms. You may stop using JAYCE at any time; contact support@jaycesoftware.com for account deletion requests (see also the Privacy Policy).

Disclaimer of warranties

JAYCE is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, JAYCE disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet any building code, manufacturer, or engineering requirement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JAYCE and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business interruption, arising from your use of JAYCE or reliance on any output. Total liability for any claim relating to JAYCE is limited to the fees you paid for JAYCE in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if you used a free demo or unpaid access).

Changes

We may update this page as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of JAYCE after an update means you accept the revised terms.
