Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026. This page describes how JAYCE handles information when you use the website, web app, and iOS App Store app.
Who we are
JAYCE is metal building design software operated for business use. Contact support@jaycesoftware.com with privacy questions. See also About and Copyright & terms.
Information we collect
- Account details you provide (username, display name, email, company, phone, role, and subscription choices) when you create or manage an account.
- Project / design data you enter in the app (building geometry, site ZIP, openings, notes, customer or job fields you choose to save).
- Demo and quote leads if you request a demo or Enterprise quote (name, email, phone, company, sector, and related form fields), plus IP address and user-agent used to prevent abuse.
- Usage & technical data typical of a web / Capacitor app (browser or device type, IP address, pages or API routes requested, first-party product events such as downloads/exports, and diagnostic logs).
- Purchases:
- App Store / iOS: subscriptions and file downloads are processed by Apple and verified through RevenueCat using an app user id tied to your Jayce account. We do not receive your full Apple payment card number.
- Web / PC plans: card-on-file checkout is processed by Stripe when billing is enabled. We do not store full card numbers on JAYCE servers.
- Local device storage such as signed-in session tokens and preferences in the browser or app WebView (for example localStorage).
How we use information
- Provide, secure, and improve the JAYCE app and website.
- Authenticate you, save and sync projects, and apply subscription entitlements you purchase or are granted.
- Process App Store and web billing status with Apple, RevenueCat, and Stripe as applicable.
- Respond to support, demo, and Enterprise quote requests.
- Prevent abuse (rate limits, IP uniqueness on demo leads) and meet legal obligations.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers only as needed to operate JAYCE, including: hosting (for example Render), Apple App Store billing, RevenueCat (purchase verification), Stripe (web payments when enabled), and email delivery for transactional or lead messages — or when required by law.
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising. The iOS app does not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA for ads.
App Store vs web plans
The iOS App Store app sells Jayce Simple and optional PDF downloads through Apple In‑App Purchase only. Design, Pro, Elite, and Enterprise are separate PC / web subscriptions and are not sold inside the iOS app.
Retention
We keep account and project data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, and legal requirements.
Your choices — access and deletion
- Update profile and preferences in the in-app Account / customer portal.
- Delete your account from the Account menu → Delete account… while signed in (App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v)). That removes your Jayce account data on our servers.
- You can also email support@jaycesoftware.com to request deletion.
- Cancel App Store subscriptions separately under Apple ID → Subscriptions (deleting the Jayce account does not cancel Apple billing).
Security
We use HTTPS and industry-standard hosting controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password for your account.
Children
JAYCE is a business productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13.
International users
Servers may be located in the United States. If you use JAYCE from another country, you consent to processing in the locations where we and our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of JAYCE after an update means you accept the revised policy.
